  2. On the workstation, make sure the Server name in the Setup, Options, Database, Add button is using the “server name” with the \TCLI
  3. On the workstation, when adding the server connection above, does the Test Connection button create an affirmative message.

    2. If not, continue
  4. Open the Control Panel on the server, select Programs and Features, scroll down and see if the Microsoft SQL 2014 express server is installed.
    1. If not, something has blocked the installation of the SQL server. Check to see if the anti-virus isn’t blocking the installation.
    2. If yes, continue
  5. On the server, open Administrative Tools, select Services, check to see if the service “SQL Server (TCLI)" is there and running.
    1. If not running, right click it, and select Start.
    2. If not there, the database has not been created. Need troubleshoot using Management Studio
    3. If yes, continue
  6. On the server, you will need to install Microsoft’s Management studio to check for the database TCLIdb. Call TCLI support 1-800-448-0741 for further help.
