A step-by-step guide to transferring and saving reports from Cloud Link to your local computer for easy access, printing, storage, and more.
Saving your reports locally is simple and provides you with access to your project information, even when you are not actively logged into your virtual machine. This convenience enables offline review and easy sharing of your reports.
1. Login to your Cloud Link, go to your desktop, and create a folder to place your reports and projects:
- Right Click anywhere blank on your desktop Select New>Folder, a new folder will appear on your desktop
- Right Click on your new folder, Select Rename, and Name your folder - for this example we will Name our folder "Hold"
2. Open Estimating Link and Select your Report
3. From the Printer Options in the destination section Select File and in the file section Select (...)
4. From the "Browse For Folder" menu Select Desktop>Hold (this is the folder you just created on your desktop) Click OK
5. This brings you back to the Printer Options menu, check that your file location shows the pathway to your "Hold" folder on your desktop and Click OK. You should receive a confirmation message when the export was successfully completed.
6. Next, minimize your Cloud Link connection and Repeat Step 1 to create a "Hold" folder on the desktop of your local computer.
7. Go back to your Cloud Link desktop and Open your "Hold" Folder
8. Right Click on the report you saved and Select Copy
9. Go Back to your Local Computer desktop and Open your "Hold" Folder
10. Right Click and Paste your report into the folder
11. Now you're ready to print, email, and share your report.
💡Tip: You can save multiple reports to your Cloud Link "Hold" folder and move them all at the same time to your Local Computer "Hold" folder.
- Press and hold your CTRL key and individually pick the reports you want, OR
- Bulk select by clicking once on the first line and then hold the SHIFT key and select your last line
- Once everything you want is selected, Copy and Paste as you normally would
