Send via Estimating Link

This is the most efficient way to report an issue.  This option allows you to send your logfile and your project.

To send a project and/or logfiles directly from Estimating Link, in Estimating Link, go to Help > Send Logfiles:

The Send Log Files window will appear:

Enter information into the fields:

  • Your information in the Contact, Phone Number and Email fields.
  • Choose Installation type:
    • If you are using a stand-alone license, choose workstation
    • If you are connected to an on-premise server or are using a TCLI Virtual Desktop, choose server
  • In Problem Details, type a brief explanation of the issue you are experiencing.
  • Project Name - To select the project that you would like to send, click the Select Project button.  The Select Project window will appear:
    • Select the project and click Ok.
  • Your attached project will now show next to Project Name on the Send Logfile window.
  • Click the Send Log button.

You will receive a confirmation message that your logfiles have been sent.

Send Logfile Manually

This sends the logfile without the project.
Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Construction Link\Estimating Link V3
File extension: .txt
Attach the logfile to an email and send to support@tcli.com
By default, our log file is located on your C Drive > Program Files (x86) > Construction Link > Estimating Link V3 > Estimating Link V3. You'll want to select the file that is labeled Log_(your name).txt:

Send Project Manually

This is to send a project without logfiles.

Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Construction Link\Estimating Link V3\Backups

File extension: .cli

Attach the project to an email and send to support@tcli.com
By default, your projects are located on your C Drive > Program Files (x86) > Construction Link > Estimating Link V3 > Estimating Link V3 > Backups:

Send Database Manually

This sends your Estimating Link Database.

Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.TCLI\MSSQL\Backup

File extension: .bak

Upload the file to a files sharing service such as google drive, one drive, drop box, etc. and share the file or send a link to: support@tcli.com

By default, your database is located on your C Drive > Program Files (x86) > Microsoft SQL Server > MSSQL12.TCLI > MSSQL > Backup:
