Rename Item

Step by step instructions with screenshots to rename an Item

When renaming an Item, it must be to a name that does not already exist.

In Estimating Link, while on the Item module, go to Services > Rename Item:

A Rename Item Dialog window will appear:

There are 2 edit boxes: "Rename Item" and "to Item."

The Rename Item box is where you will enter the Item that you wish to rename.

You can click on the 3 dots located after the box to bring up the Choose Item To Rename window where you can select from a list of all your Items pertaining to this project.

Or you can use the up and down arrows located after the 3 dots to scroll through your Items.

The to Item box is where you will enter the new name or Item number.

After you've entered the Item you are renaming and the new name, click Apply to save the changes. Your Item is now updated with the new name.

You can continue to rename or Items using the above process or click Done to close the window.
