How to Replace Resources (Rates) in Single Items and Multiple Items across your Project

Learn how to replace your resources on a single item or across your project items using the "manage usage" feature.

Replacing a Resource in a Single Item

  1.  Navigate to the Item Sheet
  2. Select the resource you would like to replace. A "►" will mark the item selected. 
  3. Go to Services>Replace Resource.  A window will display to select the replacement resource.
     
  4. Select the replacement resource and Click OK.  Your resource has been replaced. 

Replacing a Resource across Multiple Items

If you need to replace a resource that appears in your project across multiple items, use the Manage Resource Feature.

  1. Navigate to your Rate Tables
  2. Click on the rate you want to replace. The rate will be highlighted in blue.
  3. Go to Services>Manage Usage
  4. The Resource Usage window will appear.  This displays all the Crews and Items Sheets in which the rate is being used.
  5. Place a check mark by all the locations where you want to replace that rate, then Click Replace.
  6. Next, Select the rate that will replace your existing rate. The rate will be highlighted in blue.  Click OK.
  7. A window will display showing what crews/items have been updated with your change.
