This is the section where general Estimating Link options are set and should be completed before building you first new project.
To get to this section click the Setup in the top navigation of Estimating Link, then select Options:
The Preferences window will now appear beginning on the Company tab:
When you first open the options you will notice a set of tabs at the top of the window.
The options screen is split into sections (separated by tabs) and you can move from section to section by clicking on the tabs with the left mouse button.
Many powerful functions can be enabled and disabled here, so it is helpful to go into detail with each tab.
If a change is made in the options, but doesn’t appear in the program, it is helpful to change the
active window (i.e. from Rate Tables to Item Sheet), or restart the program.
Most Options should be set alike for all Estimating Link programs within a company.
Options that do not have to be set alike are the options that have a black silhouette next to them:
The silhouette indicates that each individual user can set their own preference on this option.
